Continuous support via phone, text, or email from the signing of this agreement until our final postpartum visit.

Availability & Travel

General Contact:

From the time this agreement is signed, I am available for communication via phone, text, or email to respond to any questions or concerns, or simply to offer a listening ear. While I aim to respond promptly, I am generally most available during the day and between 8 PM and 11 PM.

On-Call Period:

During the agreed-upon on-call period, I am available 24/7 and will come to you when you request support during labour.

Travel:

If you reside more than 30 km from Åsa (Ringerike municipality), a travel fee of 5 NOK per additional kilometre applies. Maximum travel distance: 100 km from Åsa.

Preparation Sessions

All preparation sessions and classes will be held in your home or at another mutually agreed-upon location.

Topics we may cover include:

The natural physiological birth process, medical interventions, and hospital protocols (including your rights and informed consent).
Clarifying expectations of birth, yourself, your birth partner, doula, and medical staff.
Creating your birth and postpartum plan.
Breath and body awareness work, connecting with your intuition, and guided relaxation
Partner support during labour, including emotional presence and physical comfort techniques.
Labour and birthing positions.
Handling the unforeseen
Strengthening emotional connection to your unborn/newborn baby.

Support During Birth

Please notify me as soon as you believe labour may be starting so I can prepare, even if you don’t yet need my presence. I can meet you at your home or at the hospital. Once you are in active labour, I will remain with you until the baby is born and when you feel ready for me to leave.

Support may include:

The calm, continuous presence of someone focused solely on you and your needs.
Breathing support and guided relaxation during and between contractions.
Massage, acupressure, and other comfort measures (also supporting your partner to use them).
Suggestions for favourable labour and birthing positions.
Spinning Babies techniques for optimal fetal positioning.
Handling practical things like making sure you’re eating and drinking enough, playing music, and taking pictures along the way.
Support in communication with hospital staff/care providers.

Postpartum Support

This package includes 2 hours of in-home postpartum support. You decide when to use this time, though I recommend scheduling it within the first 4 weeks after birth.

Support may include:

Emotional check-in and adjustment to new parenthood.
Birth debrief and reflection on your birthing experience.
Breastfeeding support.
Postpartum massage.
Light household support, meal prep, or caring for the baby or siblings while you rest, shower etc.

Terms & Conditions

If I am unable to attend your birth due to personal or family illness/emergency, I will provide six additional hours of postpartum care.
From pregnancy week 37, the baby is considered full-term, and standard medical guidelines typically recommend induction at 41 weeks + 11 days. Based on this, we will agree together on the timing of your 3-week on-call period (for example, week 39 to 41). If your labour begins before the agreed on-call period, I will do my best to be available at no extra cost. If your labour begins after the on-call period has ended, an optional additional fee of 500 NOK per day will apply until the baby is born.
If you prefer to ensure continued availability, you may extend the on-call period in advance for 3,000 NOK per extra week.
If I anticipate being unavailable during your on-call window, a trusted back-up doula can be arranged (see below).
I neither offer nor perform clinical or medical advice or medical tasks.
My role is to support you emotionally, physically, and with relevant information. I can help you explore your options, but all medical decisions are yours to make in collaboration with your healthcare providers.

Choose one payment option:

Back-Up Doula (if applicable)

If needed, my back-up doula [Name] will be on call from [Start Date] to [End Date]. She will provide equivalent services. Both doulas will stay informed through shared communication. I will remain available for phone/text/email support during this time.

Confidentiality

Your identity and personal information will remain fully confidential. Should I wish to share your story publicly (e.g., on Instagram or my website), I will request your permission in advance.
